This winegrowing estate is located in the municipality of Trequanda and it comprises about 10 hectares, 4 of them of intensive well-watered vineyard with 6250 vine logs per hectare, that is to say 25.000 total plants. The property includes a 600 sqm country house, 600 sqm cellar and 150 sqm room used now as agricultural tools storage room. In the land there are about 200 olive trees in full production (producing about 3 quintals of oil), in addition to 1,5 hectares of wood and about half hectare of truffle ground for precious white truffle.

The City of Trequanda is surrounded by the Val d'Orcia and Val di Chiana. At about 12 Km from the main services offered from Torrita di Siena and a few kilometers from places of interest such as Montepulciano, Pienza and Montalcino. It is about 20Km from the exit Bettolle and 220 from the airport of Fiumicino (Rome). The property enjoys a beautiful view over the valley and Sant'Anna in Camprena.

The country house is about 500 sqm and has a very panoramic location with wonderful glimpses over Orcia Valley and its villages. It has been completely restored in 2001 from the basis, on 1700 ancient basis. Here, we have Tuscan tradition high finishing with carefully restored original materials. There are 3 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and some very suggestive lounges with in style fireplace. Upon entering you are greeted by a large lounge, there is also a large kitchen with access to the cellar, a further living area, with nice views of the garden, and a guest bathroom. On the first floor there is another living area, three bedrooms and four bathrooms. The country house is surrounded by an elegant green with an underground irrigation system. The water independence is guaranteed by an artesian well, which picks from a spring at 80 meters of depth, some underground water tanks and a capacious reservoir.

The Cellar:
Built in 2009. It is an excellent example of the integration of the traditions of this area and the most advanced technologies in wine-making and renewable energy: the whole estate is powered by a geo-thermal energy plant, which has reduced our Co2 emissions to close to zero ; this is consistent with our philosophy of respecting nature and the environment and promoting sustainable resources. The harvested grapes come to the large vinification hall that is equipped with traditional wooden open cone shaped vats for the Sangiovese grapes, and with stainless steel tanks for the other varieties. The aging cellar, which houses the barrels, is kept at a constant temperature and humidity. We made sure that we installed the appropriate ventilation system, as it was built underground, below the estate. It is in this room where keep the wines which need to mature in wood and become more complex prior to bottling. We produce about 20.000 bottles of wine every year.

The Vineyard and the Lands:
The total land amount is 10ha divided in truffle ground, olive grove, woods and 4ha of vineyard. It is located at 400 mt. above sea level and its microclimate is positively influenced by the draughts created by the vicinity of Mount Amiata and by being on the edge of two valleys (The Val d’Orcia and the Val di Chiana): thanks to this position we enjoy mild rainfalls, a good temperature range between night and day and constant winds. The vineyard measures 4 hectares (about 10 acres), and the grapes are grown with the spurred cordon training system, with a density of 6250 plants/hectare. The soil is medium-textured, with a mixture of sandy and clayey ground – which allows good drainage of the water – and lies with an East-West exposure of the plants: all excellent ingredients for the growth of the species we have chosen in accordance with these premises:

The health of the vineyard depends on the attention and the care we pay to it every day. Each moment of the year is dedicated to precise activities; this allows the grapes to reach a balanced concentration of all the elements that will be involved in the wine-making process, once the fruits mature.
